Well, I wanted to see how my new camera worked so I took a video of my progress thus far. Hopefully my link will work.

More stuff than I thought. . .

Well, this morning I slept in way too late. Took my morning shower and I was off to Independence Audio for the third time this week so they could fix my car alarm. I’m confident that it is fixed now and I left happy. I decided to drive up to my college so I could turn in a required census–they wouldn’t send my diploma without it. Lame. But, I was able to visit a friend of mine who works at the college so my trip was not in vain. Stopped in at T Bell for some lunch on the way home and made it in time for Millionaire. That is one thing that I will miss; my Dad and I always watch Millionaire followed by Jeopardy after he gets home from work. Well, I should say that it’s more me watching while my Dad does his beloved crossword puzzles. It’s 5PM now and we are supposed to get a massive rain anytime now; I can hear the rumble of thunder every so often. I can’t believe that it is 50 degrees outside. Well I packed my first four boxes last night. So, my bookshelf is all packed and I still have a lot left. I also have been calling people who may want my king size bed and a sofa that I can’t possibly take with me. Tonight I’m going to run over to Uhaul and pick up some more boxes and tape and try to get more packed tonight. Well, that’s it for now. Exciting huh?

Well, it’s about time I started packing!

In case you hadn’t gathered, I’m about to make an epic move. The time has come for me to move away from home and begin a new chapter in my life. For the longest time now I have been yearning to move to Florida. I had the privilege to travel to Florida for the first time my sophomore year of high school, and although I didn’t know it at the time, that trip would only be the first of many.  Yes, instead of traveling there I would eventually begin a new life for myself in the Sunshine State.

I won’t lie, I’m apprehensive about moving. After all, a move half-way across the country is a big deal.

What I do know however is that I refuse to fail. Every challenge I have endured thus far has culminated to this very day. If Kansas has taught me one thing, it is to trust in my own abilities.

I learned a long time ago that change is always awkward. But it is that “awkward” feeling that makes life so damn exciting, isn’t it? Emerson once wrote that we shouldn’t  “waste life in doubts and fears; [but rather] spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour’s duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it.” Screw apprehensive. I’m excited.

And with that, I’m off to pack. 🙂
