My short life story of sorts.

I was born in Orange County, California where I was adopted by my parents Brian and Renea through an adoption list set up by the Way Ministry. My birth mother, Michelle, had a previous child with another man. She had decided at the time that she did not want another child until she was married. Shortly thereafter she met Patrick, my birth father, and I believe that it was no accident that she became pregnant with me before she reached her heart’s goal of first becoming married. It is very obvious to me that God has had His hand on my life from the very beginning, and without a doubt in my mind He placed me in the best possible situation and I am ever thankful to have the best parents on the face of this earth. My name, Nathan, literally means “a gift from God.” Although, to me, I am ever aware of what God gave; he gave HIS only son so that I may have a better life. As such, I live for God and am extremely thankful for the household of which I have the distinct pleasure of serving with.

After the adoption was finalized, my parents and I lived in Minnesota for the first three years of my life. After which we moved to Gunnison, Colorado, where I lived until the middle of the third grade. There my family and I served on staff at The Way Household Ranch—a beautiful property owned by The Way Ministry which at the time served as the training grounds for those who aspire to be faithful ministers for God. The time came for my family and me to leave Gunnison, and start a new life in Kansas.  I began school at Walnut Grove Elementary School in Lenexa, Kansas. After that we moved to Prairie Village, Kansas. I began school at Sommerset Elementary School, I was then in the fifth grade. We moved again, just down the street, during Christmas of my freshmen year of High School. After graduating I was hired as a server at a local restaurant where I worked nearly full time while attending college. As of December ’09 I have completed the requirements for an Associates degree and will complete my bachelors degree in Florida.

As for me now, I am about to embark on a grand adventure. I am leaving home for the first time and moving to Tampa, Florida. I have been enthralled with Florida for years now, and finally, the time is right to move there. I am venturing into the unknown and I have no doubt I will find success and happiness as I work hard and stay faithful to what I have been taught. I’m excited, nervous, sad—it’s safe to say I have mixed emotions about leaving—but life is all about the journey and I absolutely cannot wait to see how everything pans out.

When it comes to me I love loving people, and I love to give. I believe that I am an easy guy to be around, and I love to laugh and have fun. I’m a fairly independent person and I take pride in working hard and try to enjoy life to the fullest. I have a passion for music and there are few times that I am not listening to something. Giving is an incredibly rewarding aspect of my life and I search for avenues of service that bring joy to others. I love spending time with the sort of people you could tell anything to without being judged or worrying to cross those t’s and dot the i’s. I love to meet new people and get to know them on a personal level. When it comes to others, I don’t care where you are from, what you look like, or what mistakes you have made, and although I am certainly not perfect I always strive to look at the heart of individuals. Nothing else matters to me; I am incredibly attracted to the personalities and hearts of people over all else. I am extremely attracted to those who love God with all their soul, mind, and strength. To me, nothing is more attractive in an individual than their love for God. I also enjoy the great freedom that I have to make and choose my own decisions knowing that when I make mistakes I can choose to learn from them knowing that I have a personal relationship with a heavenly father who will always forgive me. I can and will always “climb back into Daddy’s arms.” I look forward to marriage and being a father, living my life to the best of my ability for God. 🙂

My personal relationship with God is always going to be my first priority above all else, and I would love to personally talk to you about what I believe and know to be true. Don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT religious in a worldly sense. I do however live my life for God, and do my best to live up to the standard of the word. There is great freedom within the framework that God has set for us, and I enjoy that freedom thoroughly. 🙂 Well, that about says it. Ready to take a journey with me?
